| Arts and Culture |
The Las Vegas Arts Commission is dedicated to
promoting, developing and commissioning projects that place
art in public places, thereby creating and sustaining a tangible
cultural legacy.
The Las Vegas Arts Commission is funded by the city of Las Vegas
and receives staff support from the Cultural and Community Affairs
Division of the Department of Leisure Services. The 10-member
Arts Commission is composed of appointed volunteers who are
art professionals, practicing artists and other community members
interested in developing, promoting and preserving our cultural
and artistic heritage. They encourage community participation
on selection panels and committees.
